We believe in treating the whole body rather than treating an injury or medical issue in isolation. That’s why we offer an extensive range of services to help improve movement and function. This is achieved through an exercise-based approached to treatment and rehabilitation.

Physical Therapist

ASSESSMENT & DIAGNOSIS OF NEUROMUSCULOSKELETAL, SPORTS AND ORTHOPAEDIC CONDITIONS

At Nicole Craddock Physiotherapy we treat a wide variety of muscle, tendon, joint, bone and nerve related conditions. These include: Back and neck pain, joint pain, headaches, muscle strains, ligament sprains, tendon injuries, nerve pathologies, all sports-related injuries as well as pre- and post-operative care and rehabilitation.

Physical Therapy Session

EXERCISE-BASED REHABILITATION

This includes regaining joint range of motion, muscle strengthening and endurance, balance and proprioceptive retraining, power and agility work, functional re-education of movement, sport-specific rehabilitation and exercise and graduated return to sport.

SPORTS-INJURY ASSESSMENT AND MANAGEMENT

A thorough assessment of any sports-related condition followed by an individualised rehabilitation or training programme to allow for effective return to play. Strategies and education on how to prevent injury included.

Physical Therapy Session

POST-OPERATIVE REHABILITATION

Rehabilitation following any orthopaedic surgery with the aim of full return to function beyond pre-operative level. This includes gait re-education, regaining joint range of motion, muscle strength, power and endurance, balance, proprioception and sport-specific function.

MANUAL THERAPY, DRY NEEDLING AND STAPPING

Manual therapy techniques include myofascial release, trigger point therapy and spinal and peripheral joint mobilisations.

Dry Needling is a western based technique used to release the trigger points or tight/shortened structures in the body. The aim is to increase oxygen and blood flow to the area to encourage healing.

Strapping, usually done as adjunct to treatment, is often used to support, offload or activate an injured muscle or joint.

Pilates

PILATES

Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise aimed at strengthening the whole kinetic chain. It's main focus is on core strength but classes also include a variety of exercises to improve flexibility, mobility, balance and strength

Running Group

RUNNING COACHING/TRAINING PROGRAMMES

Individualised running training programmes tailored to your specific goal. Whether it be in preparation for a race or just wanting to improve your running speed or performance. Programmes include aerobic base training, speed work, long runs, cross training and rest days.
